We create, take care of and follow the process of elaboration of the Majorcan rocking chair in an artisanal way for 3 generations. At Balancins Gelabert we not only want to respect the methodology that my grandfather started about 70 years ago, we also want the essence of the concept of craftsmanship to endure as the way of creating and treating each piece of wood and each piece of cloth that is made by hand. That mades especial this rocking chair. A unique piece that has been created consciously and with good will for those people who will use it for their well-being and comfort. This is our way of understanding craftsmanship and of guaranteeing product quality so that it lasts for many years.
Our design is based on the concept of the inverted curve so that the back rests in a healthier and more natural way. The inverted curve can be seen in the profile shape that all of our rocking chairs have.
Proximity is the basis of this swing and we only work with Majorcan fabric factories: Teixits Vicens; Teixits Bujosa fabrics; and Teixits Riera.
